Inspired at a young age by video games and films I’ve spent the last 4 years of my career creating work that focuses on strange creatures and weird characters. Influenced by my love of real life odd animals and sea life, I spawn monsters and illustrations that engage and entertain the viewer.

Working mainly digitally I have created illustrations, concept art and character designs for a variety of clients and projects such as video games, film, card games, Twitch streamers, Youtubers, children’s books, branding and apparel.

Since starting my freelance career, I have been blogging everything that I have learned along the way and in 2018 I also started vlogging and creating other advice-style videos for my Youtube channel. Since the beginning of 2019 I have also started streaming my illustration work live on Twitch.

So if you want to work on something awesome together, please get in touch through my contact page or social media.

"I was looking for a fresh, exciting piece for my nerdy metal trivia brand, and I came across the work of Rachel Alderson. We discussed the background of the project, and the overall vibe of Skull Toaster, and she gave me some ideas which aligned perfectly with everything I was looking for. She kept me in the loop over the course of the project, was clear and to the point every step of the way, and delivered the final piece on time. I’d highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a lightning bolt of awesome!"
